Athens is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Athens is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Came in to replace an implant/get a vaccine and Sallie was SO kind, patient, and helpful. I had a lot of anxiety and she eased all of my worries. She talked me through each step of the process and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. It was quick, painless, and I’ll have no reservations whatsoever about going back if I need anything else!

Just be aware... Even if you sign up ahead of time and have a vaccine appointment, you'll end up filling out all the info again on a paper form and will be here waiting about an hour before they see you. Online DPH vaccine registration says it's a 15 in-and-out appointment, not true. Staff is helpful and competent, just takes awhile to get seen.

This department is run by some of the most incompetent, inconsiderate people. It takes a minimum two hours to do anything. To get vaccines you wait for an hour in the main waiting room and fill out forms, then get called back to another waiting room for an hour and fill out very repititve forms, and this is only on the days that everything is running smoothly otherwise it will take way longer than that. They also very rarely answer the phone, which is the only way to make appointments for certain things.

I have always been welcomed by most of the staff here when I come to the women’s clinic even though I have my service dog with me. It is hard to get a timely appointment and sometimes it is impossible to get through the phones. The nurses I’ve worked with mainly are very knowledgeable, understanding, and actually listen to the patient, which I feel is very important in healthcare.

Have been here several times in the past with excalent service. How ever today has been horrible. Got here at 11am they told me I would have to come back at 1pm because they were going to lunch. For here at 1pm and waited for 2 hours without being seen. It was just a TB test placement. Which has been done in the past in 30 minutes, with time to spare.... Wow. I don't know who changed things but they sure messed up this place bad. By the way The waiting too. Was almost full as well.....
